Lifestyle Family Session

Capturing the fun...

These 2 boys had fun in their own backyard while I followed them around...who can resist a tire swing?

One of my favorite parts about the family session is capturing mom and dad...being a couple...these two lovebirds were so fun to photograph. Their love REALLY shows...no posing needed with these two! :)

And the funnest part of all? Finding out that this mom actually had her senior portraits taken by my grandparents (Van's Studio, Chico, CA) back in the 80's! It's a small world...who would have thought that fast-forward into the year 2007, their grand daughter would be photographing her family! Wish they were alive so I could call them and tell them!

Yes, it's a small, small world! :)

Special Sneak Peek for the D. Family!

This family was so much fun to photograph! For me, it's all about capturing a family in the act of being...a family. Just hanging out on the couch with...Timmy the cat.

Even...mom and dad just being...mom and dad.

LOVE this photo...of a "couple" just laughing and imagining what it might be like if their 3 kids weren't in the corner of their bedroom rough-housing and a photographer wasn't standing 2 feet away...

And speaking of kids, I think daddy might need to buy a great big stick...because in a few years, he's going to need it! Isn't little J. a beauty? Her eyes were so ALIVE!

I think one of the reasons I love photographing families is that I love capturing a group of people who love each other...just living life. And I love creating art with real life.

Can't wait to share this entire session with the D. family next week. And I NEVER share my favorites as a preview...just a few teasers! The favorites...they're in safe keeping until next week! :)
