o sweet baby!

This little cutie was so much fun to photograph...she's a beauty queen in the making! Her skin is like a porcelain doll...and she is as sweet as can be!

This adorable young girl was just signed up by Ford Models...and I can see why! The camera loves her! Not only that, she has the sweetest heart and was a joy to work with. I know we'll be seeing little miss M. on the cover of a magazine or more soon! :)

2008 Senior

School has BEGUN!!!

The Senior Class of 2008 is well underway as of last week! Good luck and have a great year!

There are still many Seniors scheduling their Senior Portrait Sessions! We have lots more coming up and are accepting Senior Sessions through the fall! The Holiday Season is well underway as well (sessions for Holiday Cards and Portrait Gifts) so call soon to book your session...we are really filling up quickly.

Meet Alyssa...a model signed up with both Ford Models and Generations Talent Agency. Alyssa has the most beautiful smile and eyes! And more than that, she has a beautiful personality with a sweet disposition...

I've been TAGGED.

Yes, as in, TAG YOU'RE IT.

Well, a few days ago I guess I was tagged by Audrey Woulard. So...now I have to list 8 things that most people dont' know about me...and this isn't really that easy! Try it! Here it goes:

1. I hate to be cold...I wear sweatshirts IN my house when it's 100 degrees outside because I hate the air conditioning on my arms!

2. I lived in France for a summer when I was 18 and loved it. I think my sense of "art" came from that summer, living in Paris and then the South of France.

3. I'm a true eclectic. I am so drawn-in by so many styles, textures and colors that I can't decide on any single one so I mix them all into my own life through my photography and decor.

4. I love to read. I could read for DAYS without doing anything but read, eat and sleep. But that doesn't get to happen...so I read when I can. And my favorite book truly is the bible. So much history in that book! It's my instruction manual for how I WANT to live my life.

5. I hate to cook. Really hate to cook! I do it because I have to, but I'd rather eat out all the time.

6. I LOVE to stay in my jammies all day if I can! The best lazy day to me is getting up, lazing around in my jammies, drinking hot tea and...reading. Makes it even better if it's raining outside! Doesn't happen often but it's a GOOD day when it does.

7.  I love Fall and Winter more than Spring and Summer! I love it when the leaves start changing and I get to start wearing sweatshirts because it really IS cold and not just because the house is freezing cold because of air conditioning!

8. I have a soft-spot for homeless beggers who come up to me with their toothless smiles asking for money. Yeah, I know. Most are spending the money we give on bad stuff and booze and whatever. But that's not my burden---that's God's burden. My burden is to give when I can. And these people have a story...I always wonder WHY they are where they are...and HOW they got there. Sad. Makes my heart very sad.

a sneak peek...

for Caleb and family...

Well, by now he's off to college...but here is a sneak peek for Caleb and mom. A few weeks ago I photographed his sister and in a week or two we'll be photographing the "other" brother...all in an effort for mom to update the portraits.

This session was a lot of fun...set in a little "village" with it's own family of chickens that roam through the streets and sidewalks. We were able to capture these images a few hours before the sweltering heat set in! It ended up being over 100 degrees on this day!

the colors of carmel

from Carmel-by-the-Sea...the village.

I LOVE Carmel Village...Ocean Avenue is full of so many colors and textures and sites and smells and it fills my head with visions-to-be-framed...forever.

And here's a young lady...looking out from the lobby of the Pebble Beach resort to the ocean waters thinking about...??? Not sure what. Just thinking...deeply.

The Big "Reveal"...

Announced on the NBA Kings site 9/1/07...

I mentioned a few weeks ago that we received a phone call from the Director for the Sacramento Kings Dance Team for an upcoming commercial project...very exciting.

It was a major project for the "revealing" of the new dance team for the 2007/08 NBA Season...a photo shoot at a nearby venue (a very chic Salon & Spa: Article Salon & Boutique) with all 14 girls plus the group.

It was a great session---each girl had her own "theme" or vision of how she wanted to be shot. The Kings Site now reveals each girl...

Click on each girl in the group shot...these are the photos I'm excited about because they decided to use the shots I did with 100% natural light by a huge window in the salon rather than the shots we did in front of a white wall for their bios...I think everyone thought I was crazy when we had this huge salon to work with but I requested each girl to sit on a stool, me on a ladder, in front of a window of all places...

The Kings Dance Team 2007/08

That main group shot was very tricky with track lighting, sky lights, side lighting...a huge challenge to work with but with some wireless flash we managed through the group shot.

Lots more creative and fun shots were created too...here are a couple just for example...LOTS MORE shots to be revealed later on the Kings site and ALSO on our new TERI FODE COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY site to debut in September. Stay tuned.

Definitely a glamour-high-fashion shoot. A big thank you to the Kings Dance Team directors, Leslie and Heather, for the opportunity and invitation!
