[aka: can't sleep tonight]
It's 12:30am. I should be in bed. I got 4 hours sleep last night (stayed up too late proofing and working on my photography site) and I have to get up early (um...5 1/2 hours from now) to work on an inspirational speech for Church. And wouldn't you know...I simply can't sleep! :)
Why?
I'm so creatively inspired right now. First, from the speech that I've been working on (more on that later...it's about "Involving God in our daily/yearly goals"...will share a printed version of it soon!) and the adrenaline-rush I always get when I know I'll be speaking in front of a large group of people. Secondly, from the FABULOUS photo session I had today using the California State Capitol grounds as my setting (vision this: marble columns...arches...architectural backdrops...stairs...palm trees...and my fabulous camera soaking it all in :) :) :)). And next, Skye Hardwick.
I stumbled upon Skye's photography website several months ago via a photography forum I belong to, and I was stunned at her artistic images that just simply...took my breath away.
When she recently announced that she was offering a Creative Mentoring program, I knew that I would love to be involved. I made a decision that it would be a wise, fabulous, rewarding investment in my new photography business, but even more, in my photography journey...
So...that's partly why I can't sleep! I've just received the Introduction to her program tonight, and I'm soooo inspired...already! Can't share the details...part of my promise and agreement to abide by her copyright...but what I can share is this...her incredible slide show entitled:
Who I Am As an Artist ENJOY!!!!! (fyi: it takes a couple of minutes to download...be patient...it's worth it...and...even if you aren't an aspiring photographer, you'll enjoy this immensely...I promise!)

Teri, I can't *wait* to see the written/printed/typed/online version of your inspirational speech. I really can't! It sounds a lot like what's been on my mind these days :)
And I can't imagine how excited you must be, to be involved in the creative mentor program. I have a hunch that the mentoring will go both ways :) The pictures in that link are wonderful and so full of soul.
Blessings,

Oh...my...holy...stars.
First, I can't wait to read your inspiring "speech". Is there anything you DON'T do? I mean, honestly, I love your Inspriation category of blog entries in your side bar. I can't even imagine LISTENING to you in person! That would be heaven.
Next, THAT SLIDE SHOW WAS INCREDIBLE! That woman has "artistic" oooozing from from her pores!
I can see why you would want to take her class. You seem to be cut out of the same mold as her. You both have different styles, but styles from the same mold if that makes sense! To me anyway.

I've read your blog for 6 months. This is my first post. That slideshow drew me out of lurkdom and made me want to post! You two seem like such a great fit. She'll be a fantastic mentor for your style. Seems like you will inspire her too, in your own unique way. Can't wait to see how it is interpureted (sp?) in your photos!
Lola, coming out of lurkdom!

I am another lurker coming out to post for the first time too like your other reader above. I am very inspired by such a pretty and moving slideshow. I would love to see one from you too Terri! That woman is so talented. I loved her music on that slideshow too.
Since I don't usually post, I must tell you now, that you are so inspiration to me. I have all of the ladies at my work reading your blog now. They are not even scrapbookers or into photography! They come to read about your inspiring stories you so exquisitely tell.
Also, I would love to purchase your book. CAn you post how or where to buy it? I don't have a personal email and can't get emails at work. Do you mind posting it somewhere? Or I'll keep checking back.
Blessings to you and your family.
Susie.
