(Not by "appointment only"!)
Divine appointments are not "set time period" nor are they "at our own convenience". Divine appointments are DIVINE because they are in GOD'S time, at HIS appointed period and by HIS hand and for HIS glory.
Here are some "types" of divine appointments and some points to consider:
*a divine appointment must be recognized as such. We may be in the middle of a project and an opportunity comes along to share the name of God with someone that we feel impressed to share with. That "nudging" in your heart is the Holy Spirit prompting you to SHARE at that exact moment in time, even if you don't think you have time. We are not to question or delay. We are to obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
*A divine appointment may be a brief encounter. It may be a smile, a friendly gesture, or a quick response like "praise God, He is so good, isn't He?" in a normal everyday conversation.
*A divine appointment may be deeper ministry. It may lead to a deep conversation about the Lord and allow us to witness about His love in our own lives---or lead to a specific topic at hand and allow us to share what we know on the topic and some wisdom from the bible.
*A divine appointment is not "clock-oriented". Be prepared. Divine appointments can last 2 seconds---or 2 hours. God is in control and God is arranging these appointments in our lives! We are to trust Him, allow the Holy Spirit to lead, and be prepared for God to lead the time frame even if the clock ticks and we have a "to do list" that waits in the wings!
*A divine appointment is a blessing...to us as well. Divine appointments are encounters between us and others that God uses to bless others with. But they also bless us because as we share God with others our own faith is increased!
*A divine appointment...is addicting. When you start to allow God to arrange your day with opportunities to share your faith with others, you will become addicted to living this way! The great rewards of blessings and joys will increase and your life will CHANGE in a way that I can't even write about...you have to experience it for yourself.
ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR GOD? ARE YOU AVAILABLE TO HIM? WILL YOU ALLOW HIM TO BE IN CHARGE OF YOUR DAY AND BRING DIVINE APPOINTMENTS TO YOUR OWN CALANDER OR BLACKBERRY?
If the answer is yes, buckle-up. Put on your seat belt. Your life is about to CHANGE! :)
